Planned OPUS-Linux development items as of Q1 / 2009

Dear OPUS-Linux customers,

currently collected important near-term development items include:

- support of the OPUS pipe mechanism on Linux,
to be used by external scripts (shell, python, ...) or applications
- installation usability improvements (or, to put it bluntly, "a 5-page README file is too long already..."), likely via helper scripts
- an attempt to achieve easily usable, automatic 32bit wrapper environment support (probably in opus_launcher.sh) for the 32bit-only OPUS binary on the growing number of Linux x86_64 installs
- improved spectrometer support (wizard, ...)

Suggestions about further development items are very welcome!

Yours sincerely,

Andreas Mohr
